Yes, the part where she was talking about having a narcissist at work really stood out. I had one who resented everyone in the office. He really thought he was above everybody (while doing menial job there, and not even having the basics like degree).
Am I wrong for feeling like the behavioral patterns she talks about would also accurately describe about 80% of women on FDS? The whole bit in the beginning about thinking we are just unlucky we keep running into unpleasant men, then sitting at home doing nothing about it, mocking women who do pursue romance (calling them "pickmes"), and eventually concluding "all men are trash".
Either 80% of us are narcissists. Or this psychologist doesn't know what she's talking about.
i haven’t seen anyone being mocked. it’s typically women who post questions about their date‘s/bf’s behavior because something activated their self-protective instincts. and they talk about it being systemic, not that they are “unlucky.”
also there’s an entire list of books people have posted for researching solutions to inequities in dating, hardly a “sit at home and do nothing“ approach. i’d say 80% of the women here engage in critical thinking about their pasts, about politics, the economy, health, psychology, and a wealth of topics.
the concept of FDS discusses the “HVM“ vs the “scrote,” and the HVM is rare.
i don’t think you’re wrong for your thoughts, but it’s interesting to note where those thoughts come from.
Thanks for the video, I think I worked with someone like this smh. Really enlightening! They were such a pain to be around
