Ok I'm not dating anyone or have a prospect of. However, there was a post "somewhere" about a woman whose date "accidentally" requested her location on her phone, but since it was an iPhone, she had the ability to block his ability to find out. However, one respondent said that on Android, it's not possible to block your location from someone? (I have an Android)
I hate it when I call someone, that the other person may know where I'm calling from - after all, when someone calls me, I can see what city they're calling from. How is it possible to conceal your location when calling someone (or them finding your location when they call you?). I hate this. Technology can be used for good, but this is an abuse of technology that I do not appreciate one bit.
I always thought the “city they are calling from” feature that pops up was based on the area code. I’ve moved a lot, but my phone still implies I’m calling from the area code/city where I purchased my phone.
Just tested it with my son (we both have Android), and there's no way to request his location while on call.
Maybe try messing around with the settings of you calls through you're cell phone provider. I wondered how some scrote had my last name and I went into my metro (phone carrier) app and changed some settings around and now my last name is "beautiful"! Lol
