I'm (barely) perusing OLD here and there. Glad to say I'm much better and seeing the 🚩🚩🚩 these days. And there's always room to grow.
When I see someone say they are looking for a 'Long Term Relationship' I just interpret that to mean 'long term mother/bangmaid/pick me' with no real commitment or reciprocal value intended. I swipe no every time. Is that correct?
Am I writing these guys off too hastily?
I'm aware maybe some of you ladies maybe on here are not marriage minded, but I am marraige and commitment minded. The option in said app is not even 'marraige'. it's 'life partner' so I figure if they're not even in THAT headspace... well.. it's a bit of a lost cause.
Am I right?
Trying to decipher men's fiction on OLD is like trying to use a turd as a tea leaf.
The vast majority of men use 'looking for long term' as a pre-emptive future fake to get past your boundaries. In fact, I've even been told by the biggest fuckboi I know that most women won't respond to him if he puts short term or hookups in his profile. So I don't even bother with OLD anymore. It's full of cheaters and liars, and the ROI for your time is null.
Don’t micro-analyze men’s profiles. I don’t think selecting a category of “long-term relationship” is necessarily a red flag (unlike “not sure”). Vet ruthlessly based on what he messages you and most importantly how he treats you upon actually meeting and taking you out.
I see it as a term LVM use to lure women to be with them when they are actually looking for hookups. It's basically a bait and switch thing.
