Well, let's not forget that General Shang first gets attracted and close to Mulan when he still thinks she's a man and abandons her as soon as he finds out she's actually a woman. The gay vibes are strong here.
I'd offer Phoebus from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Obviously the Disney version, the Victor Hugo version is a monster. He stands up to Frollos injustice and violence, deserts to protect Esmeralda and her people and risks his life multiple times to protect her and Quasimodo.
Prince Charming was HV. He wouldn't bend to his father or society- he was determined to wait for the right woman. He fell in love and stopped at nothing to find her. He didn't care that she lived as a peasant. And he married her immediately.
I was so mad when Tiana fell in love with Naveen. I was confused that such a smart, ambitious woman ended up with a man who was so lazy. They had such different values.
And this was years before FDS!
I watched the live action little mermaid and I really liked Eric. He worked hard even though he was Royalty. And he was kind to Ariel even though he wasn't attracted to her at first. He and Ariel wanted the same things in life, pursuing adventure, knowledge etc. It made sense.
I remember seeing a promo display for The Princess and the Frog, and thinking "hey, Disney finally decided to give us a black princess! About damn time..." And then I watched it and thought "that's all she gets in the way of a prince? Seems like a raw deal."
Prince Eric is my favorite. Works hard even though he's royalty. His subjects seem to love him. Jumped on a burning ship to save his dog. Not narcissistic and vain as he doesn't like the statue of himself he got for his birthday.
Aladdin is one of the worst imo. He could have just wished for the law to allow princess jasmine to marry whoever she wants ... But he chose to lie to her and make himself a prince... Then feels sorry for himself that he lies about it.
He knew Jasmine was young and nïave, that her father had money and power, and that she was being forced into marrying someone - so it seems sort of predatory to me.
There is also a song at the beginning of the movie which hints at the fact that Aladin was known with the ladies in a brothel.
Even when Aladin talks to jasmine before the carpet ride, he just seems sort of pushy and hasty - which I don't like.
I really loved Aladin as a little girl, and thought he was such a sweetheart. But as an adult he gives me an ick
I can't call Alladin hvm, he lied to her from the start, had no problem with Jasmine being betrothed as long as he can have her. Shang is not HVM because he was hostile and dismissive to Mulan as ping and completely disregarded her as a woman until she proves herself again. And the other two I have no idea, I haven't watched Princess and the Frog and with Lilo and stitch I vaguly remember that film.
The best prince could be Prince Eric from the little mermaid. The prince from sleeping Beauty too because he faced danger to reach the tower .
I'm talking about their disney versions because in the original version Prince Eric enjoying seeing Ariel in pain because her feet hurt walking on the surface like being stabbed by glass shards, The prince of sleeping beauty raped her and she spawned twins.
Ah, not Eric! He didn't believe that Ariel was the same as the supposed love of his life (he needs an eye check), nearly kissed her, then planned to marry another woman the very next day 😭 He was, at best, far too suggestible to be a HVM, IMO.
Disney Prince Eric is the best imo. He actually works on a ship despite being royalty. His subjects seem to love him ("Oh, my! Eric, it isn't me alone. The entire kingdom wants to see you happily settled down with the right girl.) He takes Ariel in when he sees she needs help despite not thinking she's the one. He still helped her. His palace staff seems to like him. He jumped back on a burning ship to save his dog. He seemed to like Ariel but just couldn't get over the fact she couldn't talk. I mean King Triton seemed to approve of him.
I don't know about David but the rest are definitely scrotes.
Aladdin is a dusty marrying up
Naveen is a struggle love/building with a man type
and Shang was the worst of all. Leaving Mulan for dead in the snow after discovering she was not a dude.

Mulan deserved better!

The only true Disney HVM is Hercules. I said what I said
