Hey queens! I visited my cottage in France, and I’m excited to report that I made progress toward a full renovation. I got a French bank account, cell phone service, and utilities all hooked up.
I drew up detailed floor plans, met with a contractor who speaks English, and got busy doing some prep work: I ripped out ceilings and ugly wood paneling, repaired plaster and started restoring wood floors. I love my crowbar, haha.
I‘ll put some pics in the comments. The colors will be white walls, dark wood beams and floors, with accents of sea glass. I’m already in love with this cottage 🏡🩷

For the record, I’ve been researching overseas real estate for about 10 years before I actually did it. The houses in central France are the best prices & quality I have found so far (in a stable, beautiful, fairly liberal country).
