Good article and sadly true- as long as men (especially old, white men) control Hollywood, female-focused fiction simply won't get the attention men's stuff will.
Also, I love that interviewer asking if the A League of Their Own cast had cat fights. Really? It's crazy since at least 80% of behind the scenes Hollywood drama seems to be started by MEN getting their egos hurt lol.

I think a lot of our societal brainwashing about women and against women is most perpetuated by Hollywood, the music industry, and the literary canon.
It's powerful stuff that all three are pushing and without these cogs in the machine, a lot of the patriarchy would break down. The neat thing is, people are starting to wake up about them all.
