That’s rough! I do have some experiences with bad neighbours.
If you rent there’s a chance they will just leave/get evicted. This is what’s happened anytime I’ve had a bad neighbour.
It depends on what they’re doing but most of the time you can get through it by ignoring them or avoiding them.
I had to call police once because it was such a bad situation (abusive bf, harassment of neighbours) it didn’t help because they both got worse and more hostile to everyone after that. Eventually they moved out.
Unfortunately there’s not a lot you can do. You just have to wait it out.
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with that. If it’s not an emergency but the situation is causing problems, you might want to call your local police department’s non-emergency number. They can give advice or send someone to check things out if needed. It’s a good way to get help without tying up emergency lines. If you need to report a noise complaint it’s good to have that documented with local authorities.
Thanks, I appreciate your response. Feeling stressed out at the moment.
I don't trust the police anymore (rather, I trust they'll be pretend to be incompetent, as is their track record). I did recently let the letting agent know. Hopefully they'll respond and sort out the situation... ! Yes please, yes PLEASE.
It's not tenable any more. If we don't sort it out I will have to leave. I can't handle this any more and I've been here for years. uhg! everything was going ok....
