I want to post a little about Suzanne Somers aka Chrissy Snow from the sitcom 'Three's Company'. I was too young to watch the show in it's original run but I rememer watching reruns as a kid. If you've seen the show you know that her character was the breakout star of the show, despite it being a vehicle for John Ritter. When it was time for contract renewals she was fired from 'Three’s Company' for asking for equal pay with John Ritter, who was earning five times her salary.
Everyone in the press demonized her: How dare she? Who does she think she is? They even "punished" her by making her fufill the rest of her contract with scenes she had to shoot on a separate soundstage-she was not allowed to interact with the rest of the cast. The other female co-star Joyce DeWitt (ever the pick me) sided with John Ritter and the women didn't speak to each other for over 20 years.
Suzanne went on to do another sitcom (Step by Step) and she wrote dozens of books constantly advocating for women's heath. She was married to the same man for 40-some odd years and if you ever saw these two interacting, he loved her so much. They apparently has an active sex life until the end and never spent a day apart in 40 years. He stood by her side as she battled cancer twice and he wrote her a love poem while she was on her death bed, she read it, went to bed, and passed away.
