this comment section. I wonder if the first person she was responding to deleted his comment and it caused her comment to look more insensitive than she meant? It appears @ /masis_vii may have said something negative about all women and @ arcane_savi responded to him to point out the very real statistic on how more women stay with men with life altering conditions than vise versa.
Then the original guy @ bravelyintroverted grieving his relationship got upset ? I don't really like the whole, I don't give a fuck about these "studies" in quotation marks thing too and going on to call her man bashing.
Maybe it wasn't the right time to bring up those statistics in response to a guy's anecdotal experience/ trauma, but the studies she mentioned about were/are very real.
I felt like it wasn't intentionally man bashing; it was more like she wanted to bring awareness to the fact that more men leave their partner in dire circumstances than women and more women stay by their partner.
Also I wonder why his gf wanted to leave him before the accident and felt too scared to do so until it happened, I don't even want to judge her without knowing.
He may have not said "all women are heartless", but it seems like the first commenter she replied to who deleted his comment may have. And she got painted as a man hater because of it.
I’ve seen more HUSBANDS leave their WIVES who took vows, over life altering conditions - than GIRLFRIENDS leave their BOYFRIENDS. My relative was in a bad motorcycle accident and his gf stayed by him for over a year after, while he was mostly physically disabled and he still left her. Maybe this guy’s gf was already unhappy and didn’t feel a need to risk giving her all to take care of a man who hasn’t even married her yet.
Super off putting to me for this guy to sarcastically comment, "thanks for finding me fucks to give" after saying he doesn't give a fuck about any female experience in studies.
