A woman has sparked a debate after revealing she made her husband a second dinner after he refused to eat the first one she prepared.
TikTok user Brianna posted about the incident in a video that has been viewed over half a million times and is captioned: “Moral of the story: always serve your kids allllll the food, even if they say they don't like it after the first time. 25 years from now your child’s spouse will thank you.”
Misogyny is so prevalent it's easier to blame other women (MIL) than your ugliest-man-I've-ever-seen weaponized incompetence baby husband, who is a full grown adult who "won't eat unless you feed him". Just like a dog, he'll eat when he's hungry even if he has to feed himself. But he never has to, because you mommy him. Yuck.
Why don't these women ever leave? What would it take to wake all these women up?
My almost 8 years old son gets up in the morning, doesn’t wake me up and he warms up whatever is in the fridge. He just did that now for lunch. He didn’t even ask me to get up or warm up anything for him. You know why? Because he knows I need to rest and he can help himself. There is food, he just needs to heat it up and eat it and if he doesn’t like what I made, he makes cereal, oatmeal or a smoothie himself.
Why is this woman with him? He can starve. Wtf is this shit. How is she even attracted to him? Yuck.
This is the result of serving kids specially made "kid's food" longer than they absolutely need it (milk/mashed food because they don't have teeth yet) and I will die on that hill. Is this an American thing? Because making a child different food than what the adults eat is not really a thing where I'm from.
From the time we were physically able to we ate what the adults ate with the obvious exceptions of things that contain alcohol or are extremely spicy. If we really didn't like a certain component (on an "I will puke if I have to eat this"-level, not "I want peas instead of broccoli"), we weren't forced to eat/finish it but my mother sure as hell didn't cook an extra meal. She expected us to eat the components that we could and to make ourselves a sandwich afterwards if that wasn't enough.
Just imagine trying to get your kids to try new things if their father is a picky baby like this.
Look at that loser with his blanket like he’s a child. And we are epxected to submit and cater to that?
Lol I submit to Money, at least money serves me well in return. Submitting to men only serves you crumbs.
At least I can't find a single comment that doesn't ridicule the her and her joke of a spouse. If this post is meant to be satire, she is very bad at conveying it
In my opinion as a parent, children should either eat it or go hungry after age three. And largely, I never did make special food for the children.
A little bit of tough love goes a long way.
Also, I may have pointed out to my son that one day he could be on the other side of the world and missing my cooking. That really helped his attitude.
The husband either eats chips or goes hungry if he doesn’t like the dinner, or just eats it and shuts up.
I’ve pointed out that my responsibility is to provide the food, they don’t have to eat it. Legally, they need to be fed, it’s up to them to eat.
