I fell down a trad/pronatalist rabbit hole last night and I was reading and listening to content from this woman called Alex Kaschuta. One common theme in her work is that women who are 6 or 7 in looks want men who are actually 9 or 10 and they are passing up the 6 and 7 men. And she also blamed women for being successful and refusing to date down. I don't understand if men are so much smarter, logical, and rational why is it so hard for them to get a 6 figure job and out pace women.
Here comes in this notion that education is completely feminized and men just can't do well in school so they drop out. Did men not build the schools and universities? Do men still not do better on standardized exams in Math and Science and outpace women in STEM? Women typically go into caregiving profession or to work with children. Why don't men just go to trade school and start businesses if they want to be more successful than women who went to school?
Why won't men just work harder? It's always women have too high standards that can't be met. I thought men were supposed to be problem solving heroes that beat the odds, yet a 4 year degree is too much to bare.
You're telling me that the school system that once never allowed women in is now all of a sudden institutionalized to hold men back. And the evidence they use is ADHD rates. All these boys being falsely diagnosed because school is just set up for girls. How about parents stop coddling your sons, teach him some manners and respect, and if he can't sit down in class and behave send him to military school or something. I really don't see why men have an issue and now it's on women to fix.
Here on FDS we do not shirk from personal accountability. We encourage women to go get therapy, succeed in your career, get active in your community, and maintain a support network. Ofcourse the trad/pro-natalist movement doesn't want women to go to school. They also have this real fantasy about women waking up at 40 and being horrified she didn't have children. Alex thinks we just misdirect this into a need for plants instead of women just genuinely enjoying plants and not wanting to deal with a baby and a scrote.

Just want to point out, I honestly don't think this has EVER been true. Men have never been better at STEM than women. Throughout history, many of the nobel prize winning discoveries were awarded to men, however these men often stole and used womens hard work.
Einstein's first wife, Ella Einstein, graded far better than him and did all his calculations and math.
During the World War time period, it was a woman who created technology later used to create internet.
Watson and Crick won the nobel prize for creating a MODEL of the structure of DNA, however the person who discovered the structure of DNA using X-rays was Rosalind Franklin.
One of the patriarchys favourate methods, I've recently started to notice, is men taking the credit for what women do. Women have been discrimated and literally banned from certain practices (like beer brewing, for instance) and taken over by Men due to their greed, jealously and insecurity.
There are numerous studies supporting that the effects of video games and pornography have been detrimental to male test scores. It has to do with the down-regulation of the reward system in the brain.
Boys/men participate less in organized sports than they did just a few decades ago. Physical activity boosts the brain's dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin level, which affect focus and attention. Exercise works in much the same way as ADHD medications like Ritalin and Adderall but it doesn't replace actual movement of the body, social bonding and positive effects of the sun that outdoor sports provide. It's why so many males today are these dead-eyed, pasty, blobs lacking any kind of muscular definition or personal drive. Think about what men looked like in the 70s and 80s...they looked like beings regularly exposed to sunlight and physical exertion.
Of course, it's much easier to just blame women vs the actual culprits that feed our misogynist & capitalist society.

we don't "wake up" at 40, that's just usually when the patriarchy stops beating the shit out of us for for long enough for our hard work to start paying off. in Ancient Greece, age 40 was when the Vestal Virgins were finally retired and could do whatever TF they wanted. embrace your houseplants, ladies!
Because it is not in the males nature to do so. Patriarchy has put the male upfront as the "leader" yet this is not where the male should be. The woman is the natural leader. Not the male. So the male can't live up to those unrealistic expectations. The male is the true helpmate. Their position is to help the female. Check out Princella Clark where she explains this using Science.
Rating is such a patriarchal thing. I honestly don’t care how I rate out of ten. I was considered beautiful when I was young and I’m now a single mum in her forties in medical menopause so that’s a few walls I’ve allegedly hit.
I’ll just act as though I’m the absolute prize (a ten) and make my choices accordingly. What other approach makes any kind of sense?
I’ll never understand people like this Alex woman who seem to take personal offense when someone doesn’t choose the same path for their own life that they chose for themself. Why, as a woman, do you take so much joy in believing that your fellow woman is going to “wake up at 40” and be in despair? What kind of person takes so much pleasure in another’s suffering, real or imagined? They aren’t trying to “warn” young women; I wish they would stop with that nonsense excuse. They do not care about women.
As for men failing, I do think it’s mostly screens — TV, porn, video games. That might not be the entire issue, but it’s a factor. Men genuinely think that getting a 100% completion trophy on a video game is just as big of an accomplishment as getting a Master’s Degree.
I think men over estimate how attractive they are. If you compare the women on the bachelor to men on the bachelorette the women are far more attractive than the men.
Because god forbid they put in any work or take accountability for themselves.
The ADHD thing is beyond stupid. I have ADHD and it impacted my school performance a lot but nobody knew because its not researched well enough in girls. Boys at least often have the privilege of being diagnosed. It literally presents the same amount in adult men and women but in kids is 4:1 with boys being 4. Its a genetic contion so this means way to many girls are underdiagnosed!! Yes its impossible for us to sit still and focus like the other students but the best thing is to improve the school system to be fitting for ALL students. But this argument doesnt work for men because if anything it shows that in this specific instance women have it harder.
The entire school thing is just bullshit they have to say because they cant admit women might be smarter than them. Its impossible for them to accept so they ironically start building illogical arguments to prove...they are smarter? Odd.
I need to say something about women who are "a 6" wanting a 10. Let women want what they want. i dont even mind if a male 6 wants a female 10. People are allowed to have the standard they want and telling anyone to date down (which seems to always be women) is ridiculous. What is the point of doing something you dont need to do if at the end you get something you dont even want? I lliterally do not care about anyones standard, what I hate is when the standard itself is toxic/dangerous or if people manipulate to get the people they want. I HATE the advice of dating down, leave me alone with that bullshit "solution".
