Most people are easily influenced and their critical independent thinking is trash
We should have no qualms about similarly manipulating the sheep, because if we don't we will suffer
The American jury system and justice system is trash (already known)

Also, appealing to empathy, baring ones soul, being honest about ones abuse at the hands of a man is just opening oneself to further abuse. The best justice is removing oneself from the situation, never loving a man, rejecting a man the minute he shows abuse/addiction and consequences always, no matter what the world thinks.
It shocked me at how many women were celebrating his win. Saying it was a win for equality. Gender needs to be taken out of DV as women abuse too.Metoo and believe all women is a lie.Scary.
I'm so triggered and exhausted. I was hoping for real improvements in 2022. I wish I could do something. I really want to see a better future taking shape in my lifetime.

I honestly think that there are a lot of women who see what's happening very clearly. We are not alone. It's just that the worst voices are the loudest. I've already seen like 6 articles written about the terrible impact of the trial and it's conclusion.
To impact culture, we just need to keep adhering to FDS principles, and to be the best versions of ourselves. We can be the "backlash" to the backlash. Invest in female friendships, support female endeavors (art, music, film, etc). Where we give our very valuable attention makes a huge difference.
Last, take care of yourself. Keep doing things to lift your spirits and fill your cup!
@FoxInFall thanks for the ideas, I wish I could find better friends, we don't have the same values in life and I think they feed into patriarchy ideals so much they're brainwashed, not autonomous. Part of why I feel isolated. If they're are women, I don't like calling ladies 'girls' we don't perpetually stay young and experienced to be manipulated but if women exist that want to see change in their life times, does anyone want to shout louder with me so we actively see change happening...
never thought that much into it but you're right. I've no legal background and I could be wrong but I think there's an option of closed court. Saying that, my understanding is that the trial was held in Virginia by Depp, Amber had no say so maybe Depp wanted it public by jury also to gain more publicity and support, while publicly abusing the situation further.
Jez, I just found and joined this group today. I had no idea it existed and I thought I was alone. I identify with majority of everything that has been discussed in this topic. Even though I feel less alone in my life experiences now, I still feel very depressed that bad seems to be majority over good in the world and I will never report what has happened now or will happen in the future. I will fight to defend myself to the death if need be though as there is no responsibility or justice in this world. Misogynists can rid the world of women if they wish, just know that every last breath of every last woman on this earth knows that your death will come soon, and there's zero way to reproduce life on earth without women. Be careful what you wish for and respect as your role models.
You can't win as a woman in this lifetime. Look at Amber, even money and power mean nothing against patriarchy. I'm so dissapointed, especially by public support of JD. I can't consume most of the media anymore. How can I watch a movie with for example Florence Pugh in it?
A reminder that women don't get treated like shit because they act crazy. Women act crazy when they're being treated like shit.

I do wonder how much of this backlash is p*rn inspired misogyny. P*rn literally eroticizes men's violence against women, and then men and some women get desensitized and think it's no big deal. I heard that there a bunch of TikToks basically eroticizing her tears and pain. It's so gross.
It's crazy how so many people have been vocal about "poor Johnny Depp" but never speak up about the people they know personally that are being abused. So fucking pathetic.
These people are so obsessed with their misogyny they don't even realize that this will cause an avalanche of defamation cases against anyone that speaks out. This blows up free speech protections.
So many women think that they are the exception and every other woman is lying. So many men are celebrating for "men's rights" not realizing that most male victims are abused by other men - who are now more likely to file a defamation suit.
Only abusers win here. And again, all because they want to "win" against one woman and express their violent misogyny with abandon.

@FoxInFall They claim it's about men's rights but they haven't said a peep about Kevin Spacey. It's very telling.

@Cruel-Summer Exactly! 4 charges in the UK, and more accusations in the US. All male victims.
It is a well known fact that men commit most of the crimes, right? How come when a woman comes out and talks about her abuse, the first things people will say are "maybe she's lying", "she's trying to destroy his life", "prove it" but when a man comes out and talk about his abuse than suddenly everyone empathize with him? But in this case people are empathizing with an abuser, most of them didn't even follow the trial or maybe they did but definitely not completely, they don't know sh*t about it, only the rumors they've heard and the lies they've been told they believe them blindly! This is honestly sickening to me!
I understand 100% of this, but I don’t think anyone should be broadcasting that they won’t report now. That will embolden and reinforce the impunity that is already rampant. I don’t want to keep teaching men they can do want they want by sharing womens own words that they won’t bother reporting.
@mareetran99 women literally cannot fight back at all. Unrelated to DV but I saw a video of a woman in spain getting robbed and she slapped the man who robbed her. Then that man who is the literal perpetrator acted like a victim in front of the police because he got slapped and the cops let him go. The cops were being so nice to him too.
Literally if a man does anything to us we have to just take it. If we fight back we are painted as the perp. If we don’t fight back we don’t get justice because we are told well why didn’t you do anything. There aren’t enough bruises on you to indicate you tried to fight back so it means you wanted it.
@mareetran99 I agree, women are going to have to stand together globally. And the few men that show respect will have to help us turn the tide of nastiness that's growing on this planet. Question is when are we going to start doing that. And will the media and history portray it all truthfully.
There's mountains of evidence where Johnny proved to be an alcoholic abuser for decades, he married a woman only 11 years older than his daughter, he has texts about raping and killing his ex wife, verbally abusive audio recordings, and a history of violent behavior. But no one cares since he's been in all their favorite movies and because Amber reacted and abused him back. Also since Depp has thousands of social media bots on his side.Every time you share a meme about Amber or go YAY to Johnny winning, just know your friends who have been raped/assaulted are watching and thinking to themselves no one will believe them in court if they were to fight back.
I’ve been blocking anyone whos posting on tiktok but the worst was seeing women posting their reaction cheering to Johnny winning. like really? Especially someone I’ve been following for a while who has BPD and suffered narc abuse. Like how can you post yourself cheering and talking about men are victims too.

you are not the only one! I feel so angry and triggered by all the memes and tiktok and people believing that JD is innocent and AH being innocent

I've noticed labeling the woman as the "real" abuser in the relationship is the new "she's lying/ crazy."

I hate the morons in this jury. 5 men 2 women of course.
