Seeing the news that Emily Ratajkowski left her cheating UGLY ass husband. Why she was with this man in the first place proves love is blind. Add this guy to the long list of UGLY men who cheat on their gorgeous wives. This man looks like a cardboard box — somehow landed her — and then cheated. Another proof point that FDS works. Guys will land the most gorgeous woman in the world then cheat on her. That's LVM. Vet, vet, vet.
Let's throw Beyonce under the bus while we're at it. Everyone is losing their minds over her new album, all I see is a pick me who got humiliated by her husband. I don't care what her new music is, she's a loser. She can sing about feminism and empowerment all day, but it's hollow as long as she's sleeping next to that piece of trash.
Ladies, we've got higher standards than Beyonce. Cheers.
*edit: Major props to Kelis for calling out Beyonce's fake feminism empowerment. Beyonce sampled Milkshake and never gave Kelis the heads up about it. She found out with everyone else when the record dropped. She's posted about it, very interesting. I believe and support Kelis, not the queen of pick me's.
I have always felt this way about Beyoncé staying with a man who objectifies women IRL and in his music. I’m not a fan of gate-keeping feminism, but because Beyoncé espouses women empowerment to young impressionable girls, I gotta give her the boot, and say she shouldn’t be a spokesperson/example of feminism because it’s nothing but stand-by-your-man-pickme bullshit. Also, I don’t think she’s a talented musician. She’s a great performer, but musician?! Nope.
I feel like beyonce just let those things happen to her so she has something to sing about. Emily is gorgeous, and yes no one is safe from being cheated on- funny how men will get extra loud about celebrity women and compare us to them yet when these celeb womens get cheated on- they stay silent.
Who cares. I have zero sympathy for this woman and other “celebrity types” who exploit and degrade women, throw women under the bus, and then when it’s convenient for them, go on PR rampages about how tired they are for being used for their bodies. Karma catches up to us all at some point. Many female celebrity types are just as rotten and narcissistic as their male counterparts. They are not a healthy standard to compare the average woman, being like “oh wow, they’re just like us”. They are not. They have millions (sometimes billions) of dollars to fall back on when life goes pear shaped for them. The average DV victim, abuse survivor, cheated-on divorcee does not. These celebrity types seek to profit from tabloid fodder like this, selling their stories which are often just PR stunts that generate more revenue (see: Jennifer Lopez and her on/off r’ship w Affleck). Giving these capitalist shills the clicks for their tabloid bullshit continues to perpetuate the cycle of revenue generation for their degenerate lifestyles. They are irrelevant and they do not deserve our attention. Sorry, I’m not mad at you, just sick of these attention seeking desperate losers who exploit naive (or sometimes just plain dumb) consumers of their media. Then again, most those consumers (like the celebs) are adults and are responsible for their choices, choosing to consume brain smoothening tabloid gossip. 😓
People acted like beyonce has this unattainable level of self respect for writing lemonade to roast her husband before she took him back. But the entire thing could be summerized by this picture of a girl who made her boyfriend hold the sign "I cheated on my girlfriend" as a punishment and he smiled so damn wide because to him it's bragging rights and another notch on his belt and THIS is all he has to do to be forgiven.
That entire period all I could think was Jay-z rewarded by the money she's making for them both and he's just gonna cheat again. Once a cheater, always a cheater.
Now that he cheated on her again, she can make lemonade 2.0 and act like no one mess with her when it's clear they can.
I guess beauty is meaningless if you're insecure and have no boundaries because you're ultimately unhappy with all the money in the world.
Emily has been treated like shit by men her entire life. I truly feel for her.
I remember when she came out in I-Carly and the writers wrote sexual jokes about her. Emily was around the same age as Carly & the gang (13 yrs old?) which is even more creepy. I remember in the episode, Freddie kept talking about her curvy frame and it was brought up multiple times throughout the episode.
I myself love Kelis and Nas. they are true RnB royalty. never sold out with exploitative/violent or woman hating material (as far as I know).
Beyonce
From the woman who sang a song about kicking a cheating boyfriend out:
To this pickme song:
I have to say, I read the’ Why Does He Do That‘ book by Lundy Bancroft that they had on the podcast and it made me realize that the best way to be feminist is to put the focus in the abuser not the abused. For some reason it is people who are cheated on who get their actions scrutinized, when the best thing is to call Jay Z and the “cardboard box” loser who cheated on Emily out and trash them, while supporting and emphasizing how the ladies deserved better. They are innocent victims and I am just furious that loser dead beat men like Jay X and what ever the nameless man Emily was with abused them that way. Cheating is abuse, its amognst the most cruel things you can do to soemone and many people have killed themselves unable to bare the pain. It’s not right.
Sad that she was relieved she didn't have a daughter since she knew she'd worry for her daughter being sexualized straight outta the women. That part stuck out to me 😕
She’s so intelligent and comes across as one of those incredible, enviable women. He must be an idiot to throw away the woman who could be the best he’s ever going to get.
It’s worth mentioning that Beyoncé was groomed, at the start of the r/ship with Jay she was 18. He was 32. It does not erase her complicity in PickMe politics, but it does explain some of it. Solange who’s younger than her has always seemed much more self confident and fearless. Less invested in the male gaze, companionship and approval. Their family’s dynamic with an absolute scrote of a father, who cheated and eventually had a baby from one of his affairs I’m certain did a lot to normalize such behavior. That being said I agree that her politics are questionable, that she’s self serving and vapid as the rest, and although an incredible vocalist her music has come to lack substance and authenticity. Jazmine Sullivan’ s Monalisa is a wonderful FDS aligned song about high self worth just in case anyones craving soulful vocals.
