A scrote tricks a woman into carrying drugs and gets her arrestedin hong kong.
The apparent online scam that landed Suzana Thayer in a Hong Kong jail for allegedly trafficking cocaine on a flight from Ethiopia was not the first time the Ontario grandmother had been duped by a fake internet romance. Thayer was writing a book about her first experience of being defrauded online — by someone purporting to be a doctor working for the United Nations in Syria — when her family says she was lured in again. In the first ordeal the Barrie, Ont., resident lost more than $200,000. In the second she lost her liberty, at least for now, as she languishes in a Hong Kong jail pending resolution of her case. Thayer's daughter told The Canadian Press that her 64-year-old mother is "1,000 per cent innocent" of drug trafficking, and would never have knowingly travelled with tens of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine packed into buttons of clothing she was asked to transport. Angela Thayer described her mother as a woman who became vulnerable as she sought companionship online several years after the 2016 death of her husband, the only man she had ever been with and to whom she had been married for decades. "I believe she had no knowledge of the drugs and that she was a victim of a romance scam," Thayer said in an interview.
Not only scrotes can drain you of money/energy, verbally abuse you, make you perform emotional labor and give you STDS , they can also get you in serious trouble with the law!
Thankfully the poor woman was eventually freed, but still
To fall for a fake internet romance once... okay. Older people are probably a lot more innocent and trustworthy about stuff like this. But twice? Really, grandma? The guy from Syria turned out to be a fake but the guy from Hong Kong is surely the real thing? Didn't her children have a very serious conversation about "dating" foreign men online after she fell for it the first time? Didn't they get suspicious when their mom suddenly wanted to fly to Hong Kong to meet a man?
I always wonder how an adult woman can really believe a - usually much younger - man from another country who approached her online and whom she has never met really fell in love with her and doesn't have ulterior motives. I know, many women are desperate and lonely and certain generations were socialized differently and these men are clever and manipulative, but really? No alarm bells ringing there?
Dam elder abuse on a whole new level! Sickening!
Not just scrotes but anyone, When ppl say can you bring something for me I always say no. Unless I'm asked to buy things form the store to bring it to their family I will not take the risk. Humans especially men and pickme's are jealous of your accomplishments, Jealous that you are not tied up or being controlled by men.
I had pickme scrotes call my parents and say that I shouldnt be allowed to be out at night at this hour while I'm a grown ass adult. Why not keep an eye on your sons? They commit the most crimes. They are jealous and If they can't controll you then getting you in trouble will.
