Any Tarot/Oracle card enjoyers here?

Yes. I used to be really into it but that is waning. In fact, I'm just about to tell about 10 of my decks. I have both Tarot and Oracle decks. I find oracle decks more spiritual and positive and tarot to be more focused on my negative psychological ways of thinking. It doesn't have to be that way.

Ok so I have the Isis oracle deck, the starseed oracle deck and also the ancestors oracle deck. We should start a spirituality section on here? I have found when incorporating an alter and ancestor veneration into my daily routine, aswell as angel rituals or guidance, they come through big time!

Like @erythrura I also learned from my mother who learned from a great-aunt. I have one of her original decks - an IJJ Swiss tarot deck that is so loved and so on point. I always see what I need to see, and love reading for others too. I’d love to connect about it. It’s kind of my low-key daily lifetime hobby I never really talk about!

Yes! Would love to form a group. I have an Oracle deck and used to have an acquaintance who would help show me how to tell which cards were to be chosen. I *think* I've figured that out and tend to do pretty accurate self card pulls. Would love to chat and learn/share.

Yes, I have a tarot deck but I don't really know how to use it. I only used it once to ask a question about my ex-landlord 😭. At the time my neighborhood was getting gentrified and my ex-landlord kicked out 50+ tenants. He was a horrible man. I asked the deck If he would ever get his karma💀. The cards pretty much said he was gonna get his...but it was going to take a few years...and that it was not up to me to be his karma...it would come to him naturally. When I tell you that shit came back to him hard lol. A tenant who still lives there told me that my landlord had trouble selling his apartment building. The new tenants he brought in were in gangs and threaten to kill him, the manager, and several other neighbors. He couldn't kick them out which devalued his property. He ended up selling his property but he made nothing out of it.

Yes!! I used to only try to work with tarot to try to get a sense of the stories and symbolism, but in the last few years I've been pretty blown away by the ways you can use oracle decks! Picked some up on a whim and I'm surprised at how relevant they can be. They call me out just as much as some tarot decks lol

I've practiced tarot since I was a teen. I love it! I think there would be interest here

I have been using tarot for a long time and learned it from my mother (who learned it from my grandmother), so it's a bit of a family tradition. I love it as a meditation aid and to get in touch with my subconscious. We notice, remember and process so much more than we consciously perceive and the cards are a wonderful tool to uncover some of that.

I would love to talk about it here. I kind of left most other tarot discussion spaces because they are either superficial and chock full of pickmes with the same three questions on rotation ("Does he like me, too?", "Is he cheating on me?", "Will he come back to me?") while completely ignoring that their reading screams "No he doesn't like you, yes, he is cheating, no, he won't come back! Leave him, girl" and I just can't stand it anymore... or someone inevitably barges in with "It's all cultural appropriation and nobody is allowed to read cards but MY ancestors, you evil, racist bigots!" and nobody dares to tell them off.

EDIT: Oh... and I despise the latest "Let's cancel all tarot decks that do not show enough DiVeRsItY!" trend. Let people read with a deck they like. If you want a "diverse" deck, use it. But stay out of my cards, sister.

I like using tarot as a way to think about aspects of things or events that are currently happening to me or will happen. There are a lot of decks out there that are really illustrative and appealing. I don't think there's one correct way to read cards, or that the supernatural aspect is all encompassing.

I have some!! I lost my deck tho, but I used to do it as a meditative way to check in with myself (doing self readings) I *have* misused it as a psychic game of M.A.S.H. as a recovering pickme- BUT I have since moved on 😅
