Hello Queens,
In this post, I hoped to establish a baseline skincare routine for everyone to use as a checklist to ensure that the fundamental needs your skin has will be met with minimal time and money expended.
For everyone that needs to build up a routine, my first step that I recommended is getting comprehensive allergy tests.
Most skincare products have ingredients that can be ingested by your skin, which is a major tissue system intimately connected to your immune system and its responses.
Many of these substances can trigger allergic responses.
Also, dermatologists do not check for common allergies, which can set you back massively with no clue as to why your skin is not happy.
Also the adequate hydration amount for most people is at least 2 L/ per day in order for your skin and organs to operate synergistically. Absolutely consult your doctor/nutritionist/medical professional for your personal hydration threshold.
It should be observed here that popular substances, like caffeine, alcohol, etc., act to take water out of your system, which will require you to ingest more water to return to optimal hydration.
I also recommend that you get filter water like brita and add electrolytes to your water so that your body does not have to sacrifice minerals in order to chemically adjust your ingested water to be usable and safely accessible to your body.
Also, for nutrition, you really need vitamins C, E, K, & A at minimum.
For additional essential supplements, I love omega fatty acid complexes, biotin, and collagen.
you do need exfoliation to some degree. The amount and kind of exfoliation required for you will depend on what skin type you are.
The last and best essential that everyone needs, is, of course, sunscreen.
But not all sunscreens are created equal.
I love personally the SPF 50+ titanium dioxide/ zinc oxide physical sunscreens since they are chemically inert in multiple environments and are not triggering for sensitive skin.
Stay Amazing and thanks for reading.
Please get your blood taken and your actual levels checked before you take vitamin supplements every day. It's a waste of money if your levels are actually fine and some supplements (like iron, vitamin A or vitamin D) can even be dangerous if you overdose them because the excess accumulates in your body.
