There are some vitamins that are said to make skin tolerate sun more, burn less and tan evenly without hyperpigmentation spots. One was some B vitamin and two other different ones, none of which I can remember now.
Do you know what they are? Have you tried?
in addition to beta carotene/carotenoids you might also want to try astaxanthin. remember to try and get as much as you can from whole foods (in the case of vitamin A, carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, other dark leafy greens).
