There are some vitamins that are said to make skin tolerate sun more, burn less and tan evenly without hyperpigmentation spots. One was some B vitamin and two other different ones, none of which I can remember now.
Do you know what they are? Have you tried?
Finally something I cal help with! I'm on Roaccutane/Retitren and my friend introduced me to these skin vitamins. Like you said, they're supposed to help protect the skin from free radicals, help with tanning and prevent burns to some extent. The ones I take have biotin, vitamin B2, B5, E, A, copper, and carotene. Carotenoids are the ones that are supposed to help with less burning and a more natural tan, so get the ones with a high enough amount of these.
My skin is naturally very pale, burns easily, and gets new moles due to the sun. I've been taking these vitamins for about a month and a half and I do notice a difference. I burn less (although while still regularly applying SPF 50 or more!), and tan a bit more, so I'm not just red like I was, but actually get a nice glow. If you're on Roaccutane, I HIGHLY recommend you start taking these asap, as it will protect your skin at least a bit. And even if you're not on it, I personally think it's worth it.
in addition to beta carotene/carotenoids you might also want to try astaxanthin. remember to try and get as much as you can from whole foods (in the case of vitamin A, carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, other dark leafy greens).
Thank you! Are they called carotenoids on the ingredients list or something else?
