Hello.
I am inquiring about any skincare (and hygiene) products and sunscreen that protects against ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollution. They should be devoid of sulfates (effect: foam), parabens, petroleum (effect: creaminess), silicone, alcohol, and so forth. I have navigated numerous websites and it is very difficult to find products that do not contain any of those ingredients. Many "organic" beauty products on Etsy and from other "independent" vendors do not really specify the ingredients that they use.
I prefer minimalism(?) in products. I am not interested in wearing lots of makeup and I noticed that they have "bundles" where you are able to purchase foundation or CC cream with SPF.
As for my skin type, I believe I have sensitive or somewhat dry and am very prone to mild inflammation. I have never really had much acne. I have light brown skin (same color as Iranians, Japanese) with a neutral tone (if I were to use makeup, Urban Decay 3.25) and I am most likely a Fitzpatrick III, and yes I am "brown" (South Asian / Middle Eastern) and therefore prone to eye bags. I tan very well and every time I burn, it becomes a tan.
I don’t worry a ton about “clean” although i should. I do have lupus and work outdoors so spf if vital. My three fav sunblocks are: 1: daylong liposomal sunmilk. Not available in the US but you can order from cocoon center in the uk. This is my daily go-to for outdoors. It stays put and actually works. Come sept I’m wearing the same shade of foundation. The downside is the stickiness. I describe it like napalm but in a good way. 2: skinceuticals physical fusion uv defense. This feels nice and offers some coverage. My skin just looks nice and glowy with this. It does slip a little if you get oily so I pair it with primer and powder if I need to to last. 3: juice beauty spf30 oil free moisturizer. I’m pretty sure this fits the clean criteria. It’s moisturizing and feels a bit heavy at first, like most physical sunscreens. It does melt in after a few minutes and might leave a white cast but I can’t tell bc #1 above keeps me super pale👍 this is my quick go to for running errands or something where I don’t need the heavy duty napalm stuff but don’t want to wear the more expensive makeup feeling skinceuticals. I’ve tried a bunch a Asian formulas and I always end up either burned or irritated. Many people love them though. Another crazy good heavy duty one is invisible zinc 4 hour. It’s super white and super sticky but if daylong had too many chemicals and you need heavy protection this is a good one. There are tons of pole who adore elta md and others but they didn’t work for me. I hope this helps!
check out dr dray on youtube for all of your sunscreen needs! she seems to know what she's talking about and each time I bought a product she recommended I've been pleased.
La Roche-Posay suncreen
This one is the best https://www.ulta.com/p/hydrating-sunscreen-face-sheer-tint-spf-30-pimprod2013299?sku=2559459&_requestid=16100229
I really like Heliocare - but im acne prone
Doubt they are clean, the chemicals serve a purpose
I also have sensitive skin, and I'm not into makeup but very picky about skincare products. I recommend By Robin Creations - woman-owned, high quality, vegan, made in the USA They list all the ingredients and don't use preservatives, artificial dyes or fragrances, or other nasties. The sunscreen is amazing! https://www.byrobincreations.com/collections/sunblock-sunburn-care/products/vegan-spf-25-sunblock-lotion-vegan-sun-protection-vegan-sunblock-vegan-sunscreen-sunscreen-lotion-bar-sun-protection-plant-based I also love the eye serum, hand cream, and toothpaste.
