I agree with the spirit but the "child support and 90% of his assets" goes too far in the other direction. You still want people to be able to divorce if they are just unhappy and want a divorce. If a guy would actually lose 90% of his assets he'd never get divorced but he'd still cheat and gaslight, just not be stupid about it (many already do now, just more will). Split the assets, pay child support, pay alimony, absolutely. But overly disincentivizing divorce is also not the answer.
Seems like achieving a similar standard of living in both parent's homes should be the goal, and whatever distribution of assets and income that entails could be calculated. (And that goal is good for the mother, but just as importantly good for the kid and their sense of stability & emotional ability to deal with the divorce.)

I hate the term "divorce rape" and am convinced that any man who uses it is a misogynist. To equate not getting the best deal in a divorce with being raped... I mean, those two things are just not comparable. It just goes to show how entitled some men are that they think that these two things are equivalent. It's also offensive to ACTUAL rape victims to equate these two things.
The male needs his money to secure the next vagina. That's why they don't want to support their own children or the woman they had stay home to raise their children. Once the relationship is no longer sexual, most males don't feel they should have to provide anything at all for their ex wife and ex children. This is why alimony and child support laws were written in the first place, and it was the introduction of child labor laws that prompted men to give up custody that they'd had for centuries. When males could no longer force their children to make money after a divorce, the male was no longer interested in his children. It's always a "What's in it for me?" situation with the male.
Yep. Just today I saw a video where a woman was raped, and the. Tricked into thinking a man was saving her and then that man raped her too. She was assaulted twice in the same night. I scroll down to the comments and not shockingly, there was a bunch of scrotes complaining about divorce rape.
