When your mommy has to help you propose

It's the "today" for me 😭. He had the audacity to ask his mom to help him, and he's not even planning it in advance??? My brain can't comprehend this level of low effort.

Oh my dear god... Poor woman. She'll end up being a new mama to this big baby she thinks could be her future husband.

“My son is finally popping the question”. Keyword is “finally” lololol. But, seriously, I would hate to be proposed to like this. A hike? In the cold? How Romantic 🙄. And momma found the location for you?? Does she help him with his work projects too? Does she still wipe his ass? He probably still drops his laundry off for mom to do it for him. Sounds like a prize of a man… where can I find one like this? 🙄🙄

Nowadays there's literally apps for this. Dozens and dozens of official and unofficial hiking routes in a given area, complete with all the nice spots to check out. I've always been overwhelmed with planning trips in the past but thanks to these services, it's gotten SO easy. There's literally no excuse.

It's possible that she's very controlling and he never asked for her help at all. Of course, this is my best case scenario thinking. Worst case scenario is thinking he actually did asked for her help and he asked for it like... yesterday. 💀

Maybe his mother is the one pushing him to be responsible? My ex husband's mother was nice to me. She didn't even know we were married before my ex got deployed, and she was on the phone nagging him to marry me to make an honest woman put of me before he deployed. He told her we were already married and handed me the phone. She was so mad at him! He didn't want to tell his family we'd gotten married in Korea whilst deployed. I'd never met them, and he'd said they were bad people. I had a bad family life growing up, so I understood although my family did know we got married. Some of these guys are only responsible due to social pressure from their families. It's sad, but it is the truth.

My asshat cousin literally did this 😂 set up flameless candles in the forest on the coldest fucking day of January. Then of course invited both families on a walk, ensuring she wasn’t surprised in the slightest. And of course she knew she was about to be proposed to, so dressed like a glam girl instead of wearing clothes that provided the proper warmth. FFS propose in the warm months dudes, unless she’s a snowboarding enthusiast or something.
