God forbid a single mum be suspicious of a possible pedo
A single mom of teen daughters posts how she is suspicious of her new bf because he watches teen porn. Reddit scrotes come out of the woodwork to call the mum paranoid, defend the scrote and massively downvote the lone voices of reason because "its normal to watch teen porn" and "just because he watches teen porn doesn't mean he's a threat to her daughters" .
One comment gets massively downvoted for pointing that the same scrotes defending the pedo now , would be blaming the mom if she ignored her gut feelings and he ended up molesting her daughters.
Any kind of porn is problematic but I think that teen porn is particularly worrying, especially if the man has access to a teenage girl e.g. a daughter, step-daughter, niece, teenage neighbour; as he did in this case. This woman is right to be worried and the people downvoting her are either paedophiles themselves or they're idiots.
Ugh, I'm concerned that this mom who is over 40 years old (and thus doesn't really have the excuse of youthful naivety) has to come to Reddit to ask what she should do concerning this situation....
Like, I know we as women get gaslit and propagandized to hell on this issue of teen porn being "normal", as evidenced by this post, but I feel like as a mother this should be a no brainer decision to protect her daughter and dump the creep.
Thanks for sharing.
Porn involving teens is so normalized in the U.S. that most people—men and women—genuinely do not see a problem with it.
I bet if you randomly sampled 1000 people between ages 15 and 80 in the U.S., most of them would say consuming porn that involves 18-year-old women is totally normal and appealing.
Anyone who challenges this idea is considered "sexually regressive", "unliberated", "boring", "backwards", "fascist", etc. by mainstream U.S. society.
Her intuition is right. It creeps her out because it's weird. Whether or not the man is actually attracted to kids, he deliberately seeks out porn of women who look like kids, and that's creepy. They're a new relationship, she can dump him and move on instead of waiting around to see if he's actually a sexual predator. Dear lord.
