The most "successful" predators are very good at fooling others into thinking they are great guys. They want people to let their guard down around them.

Guys who skulk around being obviously creepy wouldn't gain the same amount of access, obviously.

That guy commenting about his "friend" can't seem to comprehend his "friend" fooled him. So he continues to be a sucker, allowing himself to be used by a predator.

Most women have some experience with at least one guy who seems great but turns out to be secretly awful. We've had more practice with having to cut our losses.
