Couple weeks ago, I started walking from my drive way with my dog to take doggo to the park. There was a honda civic (I know my ex recently got a brand new honda I just don't know what color he has it in.) The windows were tinted. I live in a cul de sac so the only reason cars with people that don't live here or visiting someone that lives here is to make a U-turn or they are lost. I have a brief couple seconds of that encounter on my security cameras I have on the house.
Well, I was walking and the car slowed down 2 times as I just nonchalantly kept marching on with my dog tugging since he was eager to go mark every thing. Couldn't see who it was. The only other house I know on this small community is my direct next door neighbor has the same car but his windows aren't tinted. Additionally, I have access to that ex's social media (He has no idea) where he had also recently "liked" a weirdo porno post of a naked woman walking her dog all cutesy in one of those porno public fantasies scrotes have so...
Lots of coincidences, my gut instincts say I'm overthinking things, my intuition says it might have been him. No cold hard proof. Not to mention everyone and their mothers have a civic.
I have had a previous ex drive past my house a year or so ago where he drove dangerously slow infront of my car until he changed lanes to glare at me. WTF is wrong with these men...
There are a lot of psycho men out there. Seriously stay safe
A couple of things.
1) Have you changed your locks since you broke up with him? If not, do so now. You can get just the insert changed and don't have to replace the entire doorknob.
2) Are there any security issues where you live? Stuff like easy-to-get-into windows, broken latches, weak framing? See what you can do to fix this stuff.
3) Add additional security cams at entry points, your back door, that low window that you use to get in when you misplace your key. Make sure they beep if they see movement.
4) Remove all spare keys from flower pots and under rocks. If you need a spare, consider leaving one hidden at work or in a crazy obscure place (think under a roof shingle, taped to a neighbor's fence.
5) If you haven't already, download those apps that beep when tracking devices are nearby.
6) Can you ask a trusted, unknown-to-ex friend to drive by his place when he'll probably be there? Ask her to look for any Civics and get the color and license plate number.
7) If the same scene happens, call a friend while walking dog. Make sure you alert her to the chance that she might receive a check in call.
