I made a mistake of reading a blog post about singleness. Needless to say, the single males in the comments start complaining that women are too picky these days because they want someone handsome. SO WHAT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH WANTING SOMEONE HANDSOME? DO THESE MEN WANT WOMEN WHO DON'T FIND THEM HANDSOME? Yeah, I had to yell. I'm sick of all this. And what's wrong with wanting someone tall?
I noticed that the female commenters on the blog post don't blame the men for their singleness as much as the male commenters blaming the women. Do these male commenters think that the female commenters will find them appealing if the former has an inherent bias against the latter?
It isn't even that hard to be handsome, just look at Timothee Chalamet. Don't get me wrong, he's an incredibly talented actor. But seriously, he looks like a tall anemic Victorian child who is perpetually stoned....yet he's apparently considered one of the hottest men alive.
Most normal men could be ~actually~ somewhat handsome if they just practiced basic hygiene, wore clothes that actually fit, and ate a healthy diet and exercised

If anything, men are pickier when it comes to looks and care about a woman's appereanve more than any of her other characteristics.
