Because gender doesn't exist, none of us are men or women. So why does it matter if men are being sexist to you because of your gender? Silly woman, that's not possible, it's all in your head.
My middle aged bi male coworker was talking about men he finds attractive and his favorite bath products during a work meaning. This is ok for him to do. But if I do it, I'm unprofessional.
Rant not over. It will never be over.
I have been seeing this in formal settings more and more. There will be a code of conduct requiring employees/attendees/students/etc to not make harmful comments on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, LGBTQ status / sexuality, maybe they’ll toss in “gender,” but no one says SEX any more. As in, now it’s fine to discriminate on the basis of sex.
It’s a huge hole in fighting for abortion rights. Liberals will say with a straight face that “we must protect people’s right to an abortion,” as if all people need abortions. Women as a sex-based class are not allowed to exist anymore. We as a group have been deemed offensive and illegitimate.
I don’t like being called cis. I am worthy of being called a woman and not have my title altered so that the trans beasts feel accepted. A biological male with fake boobs, mutilated penis to make it resemble a vagina, weave, and hormone pills is still a man. So this nonsense that we need to be called anything else than a woman should stop now.
There is no such thing as a trans woman because he didn’t used to be a man, he still is one, mentally ill transvestites have no business telling us how women should be or feel.
This is 100% the fault of the LGBTQ, they have ruined our women’s rights by giving theses beasts in dresses a voice. When you expect society to call real women To be called Uterus havers then you’ve over stayed your welcome, you have proven that you do not come in peace and care about your civil rights. Instead of advocating for trans women bathrooms so that you can feel safe and not make real women uncomfortable, and want olympics sports for trans women I would be on their side. People who have a disability have sports for people who are unable to walk and still can fulfil their dreams. They do not expect society to bow down and force other athletes to participate in wheel chairs to make them feel better, instead they create a safe space for their selves and that’s what the trans community should have done instead of being invaders like their biological gender. They claim they aren’t men but they sure act like it when they take our civil rights and titles away.
I don't like unfounded claims and such but I'm feeling off about this whole "trans" thing. I remember listening to Dworkin about pornography and how if women are reduced to a "pornographic idea" then it is considered "free speech." Porn is protected because you can think of women as cattle, bunnies, cats or slaves, sluts or whores. And the male orgasm is the only thing keeping it going. I know it's a bit different, but women's rights have come a long way and now this is getting to the forefront yet again (dehumanizing women), but because this appeals to subconscious agreements with gender and the value given to you in society, people are more accepting of it. If you didn't cater to the male gaze, or were naturally masculine and maybe weren't even gay, you had to be seen as a subcategory of the male "gender": tomboy. Or even in professional settings, a sign of autism in women is not adhering to the concept of gender. Wanting to be "male" presenting, which is just comfort really. Which is hilarious, it has nothing to do with the superficial notion, but rather, the clothing is either too tight, not their style, too revealing, or they realize there is no practical reason for it (no biological incentive).
Women are simply tolerated on either side, the right love to see women as brooding mares and the left loves to call women "people with uteruses". Because they still are sexist in their mind, the word "woman" is associated with femininity, and when they see a woman who isn't feminine and only males are representatives of masculinity, they have to categorize her as a subset of a male. They love to dehumanize women because they realize that across all (most) cultures, the dehumanization of women is commonplace and accepted, because they don't pose a physical threat. However, that makes no sense, because by that logic of the hierarchy, child abuse wouldn't be seen as abuse. Or better yet, beating or raping disabled people wouldn't be seen as bad, so I can't even agree with the physical threat argument, it's literally because we are women.
I realized (I'm gen z lol) once I became an adult that neither side really care, in real life or in the political theater. No critical thinking, no empathy, completely selfish and they don't want actual change either, because with actual change, the society will finally flourish and with progress the need for politicians dwindles. They need to keep their jobs, and I see them working together (negatively, not good bipartisanship) , directly and even indirectly.
I know I can't look at the left and see me, and I definitely, know I will never look at the right. I'm not even in the middle, I'm just not around.
Exactly it's like white people wanting to be transracial to get away with acting racist. I noticed white queer people use the statistics of queer poc to make themselves look like victims. My Trans closeted ex did this alot when they finally came out. Constantly using the statistics of Trans black people to justify how she was in constant danger and should be the #1 focus and priority of all people in a room since nobody ever payed attention to a cis white man before. 🙄🙄🙄
So…. Are they being genderist instead of sexist? Is that the new thing? A lady on here was talking about gender being a social construct, and that got me thinking, well maybe it is? But this post shows some unintended consequences, like enabling misogyny towards women but having plausible deniability. Like, no I didn’t promote the only women on my team because she giggles at cosmo. Men and trans do too. I didn’t promote her because she’s silly compared to her peers. 10 years ago this would be sexist because women are prejudged to be stupid when giggling at cosmo, whereas if men giggle there must be something funny. Now, without recognition of the history of misogynistic attitudes, women are more vulnerable to sexism…
