This aita reddit post describes the reaction the husband had to hearing his wife standing up for the safety of their 17 year old daughter after the school endangered her. His knee jerk reaction was to roll his eyes at her and call her a Karen. He only admitted to being an asshole after his wife CONFRONTED him later on for his disregard for their daughter’s safety. Let’s not celebrate yet. This is such a low bar. This is something you celebrate when your five year old admits to being wrong when confronted. He‘s a grown man, not a child.
I remind you his knee jerk reaction to his supposed equal life partner was to gaslight her and call her a Karen. It’s an abusive tactic to get an oppressed group to shut up. She’s not making trouble. In fact, she’s doing the opposite and he’s emotionally punishing her for having boundaries.
Can you imagine living 17+ years with this guy? He has her so gaslit that she‘s questioning her solid instincts to ask Reddit if she’s an asshole. That’s so messed up. This is why women need FDS. FDS teaches women to have the strength to walk away. Better alone than married to this LVM.
