I mostly go out for food and errands. Most of my bizarre interactions with men trying to chat me up is in stores or while I'm doing something solo. I never signal my interest or single-ness. I don't have a bright red booty that I flash to signal seeking mate. In fact, I've never needed to, I've been a life long 4B participant accidentally, It helps when the men in the city I live in are low on the education scale and undesirable.
I was at a byo pizza restaurant. My mom went off to use the restroom. I stood in line to build our pizzas. A man that looked like he just got out from the nearby gym was next to me
I was busy ordering my topping. In my periphery I could see this guy in some weird way sizing me up, stretching, like he's about to break out in jumping jacks to get noticed. He didn't know how to answer if his menu item request was a "preference" or allergy related when asked. He didn't know what the word preference meant. Not surprised.
I hate being so paranoid but a major ick feeling I get is usually correct and these dudes are looking for any 'in' and opening to try and chat. Luckily my mom got back to join me. Well, maybe not luckily, my mom is also a boy mom and she's one of those male apologists that think my single wahmen existence is for any man to give me attention and I have to just be ok with it.
The thing is I have horrible social anxiety. II do not look to form deep relationships and I am aye okay with that. I still have to go in public spaces to go life my life and I seriously hate that the recent events is going to put an even bigger target on me.
It's your anxiety. They sense it. Scrotes never talk to me in public because I have an RBF. They only have the audacity online.
I don't eat out, but if I ever need to, I usually look for places that allow online orders, and then I can just pick it up without standing in line that's what I recommend.
Unfortunately this is going to get worse.
It's hard telling. Men have always been this way, but it might be exacerbated after the election. Galak is right though, it's going to get worse, not better.
