I would not be surprised if there was a direct connection between porn and becoming a predator. I was assulted by a classmate when I was a high school freshman and it turned out he was a MASSIVE porn addict. He behaved just like a textbook predator and literally used the exact same grooming techniques employed by pedophiles on children despite being the exact same age as me. The other guys in my school were assholes too in their own way, but they weren't at THAT level of "sophisticated" abuse. They still acted like teens and did teen level of bullying/scrotrey.

Edit: I ALSO wanted to add that idk how I feel about sexual abuse being a reason/cause for becoming a predator (acting out as you said) because like.... I obviously experienced that when I was assaulted by the classmate but I didn't become a predator or feel a desire to abuse others afterwards as a result of that experience because i still knew very well that kind of conduct was harmful and wrong lol. I get that there may be a correlation between someone experiencing the abuse and then acting out and becoming an abuser themselves; however, I feel that if someone starts sexually abusing others after being abused themselves, it's because they're just a trash person with no sense or morals or empathy to intuitavely sense what is and isn't harmful.

Also, it's important to recognize and consider the fact that a disproportionately large number of women get abused sexually in contrast to men, yet the number of female sexual predators is substianially lower than males despite the fact that males don't experiece anywhere near as much abuse as women. That fact alone just makes it seem even more iffy to me...

We are monkeys. And with a lot of species like ours, rape is a legitimate mating strategy, though not always employed. When you have no large, stable groups of people bound by social rules, this shit comes out. I don't think men can be trained. The only way to prevent rape in most cases is to prevent men from spawning, Population contol of the male gender should be a thing, There should be no more than a thousand men in one country. You're absolutely right. I got so caught up in pointing out his own contradiction, I totally forgot it's pointless because even when you prove a man wrong, his cognitive dissonance prevents him from accepting it as truth. In the future, I'll just report them without replying because I'm sure they're dying to interact with a woman so depriving them of that endgoal is the ultimate power move.

And this is why children who intentionally abuse and torture animals need to be a moved into a closed psychiatric facility after the first time it happens.

We have known that psychopaths and serial killers usually start by abusing and torturing animals as children for ages and nothing has been done. Instead it's all just "boys will be boys" and "We can't do anything until they actually harm a human being". If a child's brain and compassion is broken enough to torture or kill an animal for fun, something is deeply, seriously wrong and it's not going to get better by ignoring it.

It also makes me sick that this is often used as a funny anecdote or prank for the "rebellious boy" in movies and TV shows, especially older ones. I think we all know the "Haha, remember when you killed the neighbor's/teacher's pet? So funny! You were such a rebel as a child." trope.

True, in criminal investigations psycipaths and serial killers harm small animals as children, that's the first sign that they are going up to be monsters. I always believe that if a man treats animals that are at their mercy with care then they might have enough empathy to treat a woman well. But it's still a gamble women might lose, I had relatives who love dogs but still beat women.

I always gave a stray kitten some cat food every morning he comes at my door, one day he stopped coming, I heard from the Locals that two teen boys with a gun shot the critter in the head. But since stray cats have low status nobody will get you in trouble for killing one.

We should never give birth to males, harder to raise, harder to get rid of when they become monsters.
