Women's Experience of Orgasm During Intercourse: Question Semantics Affect Women's Reports and Men's Estimates of Orgasm Occurrence - PubMed (nih.gov)
Women have very low rates of orgasming from penetration. (We knew this). Men consistently overestimate our rates of orgasm because their brains are made of 30% delusions of grandeur and 70% horny.
PiV carries increased risks for women, from a higher chance of contracting the HPV virus to unwanted pregnancies. Birth control pills and IUDs are not 100% at preventing pregnancy, do not prevent STDs, and have their own side effects, especially used long term.
Taken together, I have to wonder why PiV sex is considered "real" sex and inevitable in heteresexual couplings, while using sex toys, oral, non-pentrative sex (all safer and more pleasurable for women) is all considered "foreplay." (I know that oral sex can also spread STDs-- but risk of pregnancy is 0% and if protection is used, STDs shouldn't be a problem either.)
Then I remember that our world hates women and I stop having to wonder.
Maybe it's considered the main event because it's essential for the existence of the human race.
Now this will be controversial but in a way it might actually elevate women's importance because men can't have "real" intercourse without a woman. Men usually center and cater to other men, but they cannot have this one thing without women.
Trans people who want to be called women have this as a limitation that they can not overcome without expensive, complicated surgeries and therapies even after that.
Well, I'm not big on oral or anal, so I don't know what else to say.
