Regardless of their excuses and deflection, nobody else were phased by the video but these women. Not once in their statement did they acknowledge the women's hurt. The video took longer because they kept messing it up and drawing more attention to themselves. I understand a man filming you can be uncomfortable but in these events people do film the public it's inevitable so why not tell the couple your uncomfortable instead of making fun with this offensive passive aggressive behaviour. Some women make it so hard for us women to have confidence and be ourselves. It discusts me. I would always support ALL women if needed but damn you mean girls make it tough to do so!!!! I've had years of women hating on me, even women who don't know me. Whether it's jealousy, immaturity or lack of education it's hurtful and unnecessary!
Sorry, but I hate when people record me in public. And I can imagine what I would do if I was young, dumb and possibly drunk. They're receiving death threats. Wtf.
Ok, but the so called “mean girl” didn’t want to be filmed. The influencer kept filming her. Not everyone wants to be filmed in public like that. Maybe they could have had a conversation about it because I’m sure the girl in the back was acting like that because she didn’t want to be in a TikTok. She’s mean, but that influencer is also mean and doesn’t care about consent and wants sympathy
After all the talk about “bullying” and “mean girls” I thought I was going to see a video that she started recording after the girls started making fun of her. But no, she started filming the video first (or rather, her husband did), and a couple of silly teenagers started acting like silly teenagers do when there are cameras out. Then I find out that they had asked her husband to stop filming them, and he had continued to do so. They didn’t find this woman and photobomb her intstagram shoot: she started filming in a public place, and then got mad that random people did not behave like good little extras in her movie. Then she had the nerve to get mad that they started filming her too? Bitch, please. The girls can legally sue this
woman for posting an online video that was filmed without the consent of the video’s subjects, with their faces clearly visible. Especially since she sicced her followers on them, and now they’re getting death threats.
The reality is that some women, and far fewer than men, are people I would never go near. There are legitimately scary, trashy women out there, and I don't care about their individual story enough to put myself anywhere near them.
However, I speak of women I've actually seen behave that way and not some story by someone else in person or online--there's always a narrative where women are spoken about (whether that's double standards in expecting more of women on generally pushing patriarchal ideals) and I will always give women the benefit of the doubt when someone else is talking about them.
To answer your question: yes, always. We don't know what's not in the video, and if this scrote was filming making these women uncomfortable, that's on him. They're response may not be great, but we're in a patriarchy left with many not great options in these situations. Until I see hard evidence otherwise, I'm on the side of the women. And after reading the story, they handled that like Queens. Curious why an FDSer would post slanted against the women requesting an old scrote not to film them.
I'm conflicted, because it's fine to take a couple of photos of yourself if you want, but a whole ASS photoshoot during something like a game is pretty obnoxious. Especially when they're taking 10+ photos. Just take a couple and enjoy the game!!
Divide and conquer tactic used by the patriarchy. Don’t fall for it.
I personally don’t like to be filmed so if anyone is trying to take a video, they better make sure I’m not in it as I don’t have social media for a reason. No one can be forced to be recorded if they don’t want to. She needs to respect people’s privacy as well.
This isn't some feminist issue lmao. This is just an individual and entitlement issue. You don't lose anything by not filming a stranger or blurring them out. The woman thinks she owns the place and the younger women are probably just insecure and uncomfortable with being filmed. The way they reacted was terrible of course. They shouldn't have responded because that exposed them even more, this entire thing is ridiculous and everyone sending them death threats are either actually ten years old, or mentally ten years old. You can't have any expectations on the unpoliced internet, its an echo chamber.
I was once recorded by a tiktok user while doing push ups and I didn't know I was being recorded and later he posted that video of me and I didn't know he posted me until someone told me. The video gathered almost 30K views and I was devastated for days because the idiot refused to delete the video until I said I'd report him to the cops and the college director. The so called "influencer" filming herself and the husband are clearly attention seeking whores because like someone said, the girls asked to not be in the shot but they didn't care.
No, especially the ones who gang up on you.
