Y’all, I’m so pissed. Today, a client/contract that was *supposed to* go to me was snubbed by my manager. When I called him out on it, he said that the (young female) client’s personal background clicked with his (whatever that means) and that he knew it‘d be a success. When I asked him ”shouldn’t the clients go to the employees first?” because as a manager he has a stable monthly salary, but us, the “employees” are just working on a contract basis, he said that “not necessarily” and that he allocates the clients based on how successful he thinks a person would be making a contract with them. Basically implying that he thinks I wouldn’t be successful closing that deal. 😤
4/5 Update: so talked to another manager about this and she basically confirmed what I thought all along. Because the company is not doing well and they are low on clients, new contracts are, in fact, distributed based on our success rate. Time for a new job I guess 🙃
Straight up just stole your client. What a no-grade POS.
He wants to bone her. That's why he stole her and is "justifying" it with word salad about them "clicking". Report him.
