The publicity of this case has been fucking with my peace of mind. That and losing abortion access in the U.S. For my sanity I stayed away from it and refused to engage in the conversation. I deactivated my socials after ghosting and blocking a lot of people in my wider social circle. Guess something came over me today and I decided to fight two people calling Amber a liar by simply saying, "why can't you believe women? Don't you know about JD's long list of arrests for being violent?" Literally their response is, "she's not a victim so of course I don't believe her." I should have known better than to pick a fight over it. I knew it would trigger my trauma response. I'm a DV survivor and when I used to share it people always say, "wow I had no idea why didn't you say something sooner? I could have helped you." When in my heart I know, like Amber Heard, I would have not been believed. In fact I did reach out for help and was denied. It's so easy for people to take your side when you already fought your way out of a trap like DV. On the upside! A handful of women in my outer social circle who I admire have reached out in my dm's.
That's all. So glad to see the ladies here seeing sense and knowing Amber Heard is a victim.
We're being subjected to this on the news in Australia and we don't give AF about celebrities at the best of times let alone this and it's triggering me, having left DV last year at 29 weeks pregnant.

Come to think of it so was Edward Scissor Hands. Fear and loathing was probably his best because he didn't have to act much, wasn't far from the truth.
3. I bet he's got dirt on Kate Moss or paid her to "testify". Why do his past relationships matter, this is a separate case?

Johnny Depp= SCROTE
The people using sound bites from this trial as memes really bothers me. It’s not funny. Ultimately we weren’t a part of their relationship & they very well both could be abusive but the following facts are not disputable: 1. Johnny Depp has been a hard core drug user for many years. 2. He keeps unsavory company (known abuser Marilyn Manson). 3. He has been arrested for assault and destruction of property. Let’s move on to rumors about him: 1. Some people believe he intentionally gave River Phoenix the drugs that killed him. 2. His business partner in the Viper Room, Anthony Fox, mysteriously disappeared right before he was scheduled to testify in a lawsuit against 5 other people, including Depp. 3. She has never admitted it, but some people speculate his relationship with Winona Ryder began before she was 18. I could go on. Amber is an imperfect victim but there is tons of evidence that Depp is a POS.
I haven't been following the case enough to form my own opinion of the evidence, but I'm disappointed seeing so many people trivialise a DA case. People commenting like they know Depp and Heard personally, faking bad reviews on witnesses business pages, Body Language experts popping up to criticise the way Heard blinks, songs, animations, re-enactments, a themed makeup pallette, someone got a tattoo of Depps lawyer, etc. It's shameful and I'm concerned to what impact this will have for women going forward.

Heard claims Depp - and his lawyer Adam Waldman - arranged for both authentic twitter accounts and fake 'bots' to 'smear and harass' the Aquaman star.
The papers allege that Waldman 'is publicly associated with Russian individuals with the capability to organise such attacks'.
I don't excatly care about the trial and all but I feel disgusted by people making jokes about her and calling her names.. we don't know all the truth behind what happened. Oh and also, I have never seen depp worshippers talk about the age gap - it's like it is normal? I don't get it. Why isn't he the bigger person here?
Today I had to unfollow an Instagram account that was putting up awful content about the trial. Just terrible anti-Amber bullshit. Btw, this was an Instagram account that sold artisanal candles as a woman owned small business. 😒
To me it feels like the coverage is like some kind of mass psychotic break. Like people pushed to the brink from so much instability, and they have lost it completely.
But I also try to remember that so much of the public response on social media are paid trolls or bots. I honestly think the vast majority of women support AH (hence the need for paid trolls and bots). This "backlash" feels forced, and I'm hoping for a backlash to the backlash. And I hope our reverse backlash takes down other misogynistic industries (you know the ones).
I 100% believe he killed River Phoenix. I've always hated Depp and thought of him as possibly the most overrated actor (or for him, quirky costume wearer) of all time. The only movie I like from him is Gilbert Grape, but even then he's just there, with zero personality, compared to every other interesting character. His PR campaign convinced an army of sheeple followers and they will defend him with their lives, even though in reality he is a massively conceited dick to people. Any member of his pick me army would literally murder thousands of other women to get in his bed. I feel so bad for Amber. Though I don't have the guts to look at PPD/MRA reddits again, I'd bet every penny I have she's the new mascot for those hypocritical sacks of living mutant shit to mock. And for women, she'll be yet another mascot of "this is why you must always keep your abuse silent, because your life will be ruined ten fold if you dare try to bring men to justice."

I think they are both terrible. This isn’t about good versus evil. They are celebrities whose lives i don’t care about. They are both toxic and it Doesn’t really matter what happens. Amber will be blamed and hated much worse, and even tho i think she is a liar and a hellbent narcissist, she is being used as a scapegoat for men to hate and speak violently against women.
I think the mentality of trying to have a neutral stance on the situation is very dangerous for victims of DV/SA. In attempt of giving the benefit of the doubt to both sides usually brings more harm to the victim. With so much evidence presented on Johnny Depp that supports him being aggressive and abusive, excessive drug use, all the NDAs with women he's dated, all the text messages that he stated the vile acts he would commit against her... its no doubt he is likely the abuser. Holding off on having an opinion is just an attempt to remain ignorant that JD is capable of DV. Also, what really ticks me off is the claims of "mutual abuse" They cannot be mutually abusive because they are not equals. 1) the age gap Age gap relationships create a power dynamic in the relationship. In theirs, i recall Amber saying something along the lines of- he took care of her and financially supported her. 2) after being in a relationship with someone as volatile and manipulative as johnny Depp for so long, how could anyone possibly retain mentally stability. All the mental and psychological damage that must come from being in a relationship with someone like him. 3) "but she also hit him" I am astound that people don't recognise the instances where she hits him as self defence. Just because she hit him does not mean she abused him! Idk why people cant wrap their heads around that. Most people in my life cannot critically think for themselves and mindlessly consume the sensationalised news articles, memes, tiktoks on the trial. It is impossible to get an open minded discussion on the matter.
The JD-AH case reminds me of nazi Germany group think and medieval witch hunts. But nothing is surprising here. Lvm think they are entitled to commit crimes against women. They think they should be able to walk away scotfree. They really think men are more important than women. It is not surprising but it never ceases to blow my mind.
