Especially when she cannot swim and has a fear of drowning. Do not offer her swimming lessons either out of the “goodness of your heart”. She knows what you’re up to.
It’s cheap and tacky.
If you do offer these things, she will automatically shut you down. You will lose every chance you have of dating her and getting to know her on an individual level.
This is so weird. I mean going to the beach is essentially sitting around in skimpy underwear together on a first date, even if you take the dangers and fears you mentioned about swimming out of the equation.
So that's basically what I hear when someone proposes going to the beach or pool on an early date: "I want to ogle you in your underwear without actually having to put some work in to get to know you first". Bonus points for "harmless" excuses to grope you to "Put sunscreen on your back", "Help you out of the water" or "Re-tie your bikini because the knot came loose."
I vaguely remember coming across a thread on online dating a while back in which a bunch of scrotes were giving each other advice on how to find out whether a woman has a good body (they phrased it much more crassly).
Going to the beach was one of the suggestions.
So yeah, definitely beware of guys who want to take you to the beach.
