This morning I went to the shops to grab a few quick things.
At about 10 am I caught a bus out from the shops. The route begins at that stop, and it was a quiet weekday morning, not many passengers.
I get on the bus, and choose my seat.
Moments later, an older scrote (who I had clocked earlier while waiting, and from whom I got THE BAD vibes) 'asked' me if I would give up my seat for him. (ie, it was a question, but it wasn't a question).
When I said 'no' his entire world view imploded.
The entire bus was empty, and for some (entitled) reason, he honed in on me/my seat.
There were plenty of specifically 'disabled'/accessible seats available. (He was trying to play up his 'age' to me ).🎻
This man had a bit of a hissy fit/mantrum at my saying 'no'.
F*CK-ER.
He tried to intimidate me and then sat behind me, I could feel his death glares, loser.
I half expected him to get off at my stop and stalk/ continue to harrass me.
I stopped a few stops away from my stop where I knew I could get to a public place in case he did decide to PSYCHO out on me.
FFS!!!!!!!
Just leave a woman ALONE F*ckT*rds!~!!
It is almost exclusively men that contribute to public transit being unsafe and sometimes even unsanitary.
Sorry that happened to you. If there were empty seats, this was clear harassment. Idk why women can't just be left in motherfucking peace.
This was not about the seat. It was about "putting you in your place." 🤡 Good on you for standing your ground.
Predatory men and criminals often "test" their targets to see if they'll be likely to fight back.
They'll make requests/invade personal space/disrespect you/rest themselves on you and your stuff ect. It's a common behavior in prisons. It's also very possible he was exaggerating his disability to let your gaurd down/gain sympathy. Its a common tactic predators use. Ted bundy is one example.
It's likely that he was looking for a woman that had a passive, nonconfrontational, people pleasing, tendencies and a nervous demeanor. Criminals/abusers are looking for targets that are less likely to stand up for themselves.
He didn't really want your seat. He wanted to test you to see if you'd say something. He didn't stop at your stop or try to rape/kill/rob you because you stood your ground.
I don't believe you're the only woman he "tried" criminals do these behaviors all the time for entertainment. I'd report him. Even if the police/bus station doesn't do anything at the very least it'll be on file. It's not a matter of IF an incedent will happen it's a matter of when.
Men are so ridiculous. The other day I was in line at a grocery store and I had grabbed more items than expected, but I was doing just fine holding them. The man in front of me looked back and said, "It's not my fault that you didn't grab a cart." Buddy, I had not asked you if I could jump ahead of you! I was doing absolutely fine! These men have wholeass imaginary conversations in their minds where we are oppressing them, and then think they have the right to tell us off.
Freaking psychopaths.
Men on public transport are a pest. Between the manspreading, the harrassment and the way most of them don't seem to be able to shower in the morning (even the well-dressed ones) I really wish there were women-only areas on trains and busses here, too.
I think a light version of what you describe is sitting right next to a woman when there are other rows that completely empty and you don't have to sit right next to another person. Especially if they "trap" you in the window seat by that. Every reasonable being would be happy to get some extra personal space and not have to touch a stranger while sitting, but these scrotes - and it's always, always men who do it - invade your personal space on purpose because they get off on it. It's disgusting. I always get up right away and move when a man does this and you can guess how pissed they get then. I have been called rude, a bitch and even "racist" for that (I got up because you are a man who needlessly invaded my personal space, not because you aren't white, dude. I would have left if you were a white man, too).
I thinks it might have been a compliance test and he wanted to see if you'd 'obey'. However I could be wrong--cos these scrotes can take reaction as provocation so based on an incident I had read, I would never reply with "Don't talk to me like that" but rather ignore the scrote or walk away.
I IMMEDIATELY thought of Rosa Parks when I read this. I'm curious, are you black and he's white? Although he isn't that old as you say, there's still a high possibility he was raised by racists and is very mad that POC can sit anywhere now.
