For the first time ever, I'm not celebrating the 4th of July. It would be ludicrous to celebrate freedom in light of recent events. I'm shocked, disturbed and fearful of what has occurred and what else is to come.

Haven’t celebrated the 4th in years.
I wasn't that connected to it in the first place as an African American. It was just another day off. But I really stopped giving af after what happened to Vanessa Guillen. That broke me down so bad.
