It’s good to see a woman in the wild recognizing red flags, keeping to her standards, and trusting her instincts even though friends and family encouraged her to ignore them. I can’t believe her parents told her she’s overreacting and that “he was just drunk” like being a drunk isn’t another red flag.
Then the update where he repeats the same behaviour and still thinks he has a chance to get her back —like he didn’t just force her to experience the whole damn abuse cycle (twice). They’d only lived together for 2 months before he let his mask slip.
I’m proud of OP for demanding proof of his apologetic promises via actual actions and not believing him or allowing him in her life at all until he completed anger management therapy —and she did it over the phone, not in person where he could hurt her. Good instincts again.

Punching a wall and calling you names is not overreacting when you want nothing to do with him. Instead of being horrified the parents brush it off like it's just a boys will be boys moment.
Can she dump her parents too? What kind of parents are they? I’m so happy this queen is level headed to leave an abusive POS. He probably would physically abuse her in the future. She is truly blessed!
Getting emotional on sewing her parents reaction about it - reminds me of when my mom kicked me out and I had to stay in a bad relationship so she could have her boyfriend over. Parents like that are the worst for trying to gaslight and normalize abuse.
The way her lvm reacted to that commercial was abusive. The extreme angry outburst, immediately blaming her, not listening to her, and becoming violent. The fact he drinks makes it even scarier and more of a red flag.
I'm so glad she is doing the right thing by leaving and not going to speak in person and isn't at the apartment they have.
I really hope her shit parents don't gaslight her into thinking it's normal or to take him back. I am rooting for her to safely end things and hopefully get her own place.
