Hey Queens,
I invite you to join me in co-creating a collective 'Queen Files'.
What is a Queen File? I'm glad you asked.
Is there a woman who has inspired you in some way? Perhaps it is an historic role model, a woman in leadership, or perhaps it is a woman in your personal life who has influenced you in some way, maybe a character in a book/movie/tv show. Who is this woman? And what about her/why does she inspire you? Is there something you aspire to that is awakened by her?
It could be something profound and serious, or something light and fun.
I'll start the ball rolling with a light & fun one below.
There are no limits to how many Queens we add to the Queen files.
The only requirement is that we keep it about positive/constructive things/qualities (obviously) that we do want more of in our own lives/personality/character/successes etc...
And of course - No pick-mes. This, like fds, is all about centering women.
Willhelmina Slater
Willhelmina, played by actress Vanessa Williams, was the absolute bitch of a boss in the show 'Ugly Betty'.
She spoke her mind, took charge, made no apologies, expected to get what she wanted, and always had the highest of standards. Now whilst her standards, desires and modus operandi do not match mine exactly, (and some of her methods were obviously certifiably insane and exaggerated for creative emphasis/impact) I was always inspired by her utter audacity, confidence and ovaries. She fully claimed her power, abundance, and worth. She was a 'villain', for sure, in this show, and often times a bully. I'm not celebrating that, but she was certainly a bold and unapolagetic woman.
Cheers to Willhelmina.
