Summary-
Story of a child bride who grew up to be a feminist queen and worked hard to save child brides, only to get gangraped in retaliation by one of the infant bride's male relatives. This did not stop her and she got the sick men sent to jail, at the price of having the infant bride grow up to hate her for sending her relatives to jail.
This absolute Queen continued to learn more for herself and educate young girls, guide them and even shelter them. She has also supported and helped older victims ask for justice.
Considering the region and the thick patriarchy that lies there, her efforts may seem futile, but she has managed to make such a huge impact all by herself. God bless this beautiful soul.
This story reminds me of why being a feminist is such a thankless job, sometimes, even when you achieve your goals. Most of the women you're fighting to change the world for will not in fact be grateful to you for your commitment and sacrifice. Many of them will in fact, resent you like the infant bride. Reminds me of those tiktoks where women are cursing out feminists for fighting for the right of women to work outside the home because 'cApItAlIsM SuCkS'
This is heartbreaking. That woman is a BA. I also can't believe they were marrying a 9 month old and a 1 year old!!! weird af.
