What FDS has been preaching was right all along. Last night I had a wonderful time out. A year ago, I joined a local community group and participated in mostly girls only events and it’s the best!
For context, this is my second outing aside from a Halloween Museum party that I attended 2 years ago. Most of my adolescence was spent towards education and landing a job after school. This time, I went to a party all by myself!
Granted, idk what to wear so I just wore the best of my corporate clothes and cute purse. I wore a black corporate dress with a heart bag (in honour of Valentine’s Day coming up). Looking back, I guess I could have loosened up a bit and wore something fun. Next time, since I have more experience, I’ll wear something a little casual.
Last night, there was a party. I paid $50 to get in but it filtered out all the creeps and cheapskates. FDS taught me to go out once in a while but to places where you have to pay to get in because it likely detracts shitty people from going because they would not spend money on an entrance fee. I met really nice girls and added them on social media.
I told the hosts about my allergies and seizures beforehand, they were able to accommodate. There were non-alcoholic options, ACTUAL FOOD (not like the cheap low quality bar food), and most importantly, I did not have to worry about people spiking my drinks. I did not have to deal with men saying nasty things to me. It was just a fun night surrounded by girls. I told them that most of 20’s and early 30’s was about schooling so I’m here to enjoy the night and they were okay with that.
Sis, I love this for you! 💜 GOOD FOR YOU!!!
