Let me make this clear, but whenever I stop seeing a guy, I stop seeing his friends too. This rule also includes women.
If he's LV, chances are that these women are also LV as well.
Too many times have I dated men and find that girls surround them are also "weak" or pick mes. I end up succumbing to their ways or risk being shunned and pushed out by the group.
Trust me, this comes from experience but when I did stay in contact with the girls, I find that it's never as platonic and the friend keeps talking about my ex because that's the only thing we have in common. Also, she sometimes acts as a "double agent".
A HVM wouldn't have close (single) female friends in the first place.
I agree 100%. Even if your ex's friends are good people, their loyalty is going to be with him, not you. They are not your friends.

A man's friends will never be loyal to you. Nor should they be, if they are really his friends. This is why it's important never to forget that boundary.
this is a very interesting topic. how annoying that the girl had nothing else in common to talk to you about except the dude...??? wth?
i only know of one of my exes who had a female friend, and they had some weird boundaries: like she would drop off her dog with him when she went out of town (she had been doing this since the dog was a very small puppy, so he actually helped raise the dog), as if they were some divorced couple sharing custody of a child. i know a dog is not a child, but it rubbed me the wrong way. especially because they barely interacted otherwise, at least in front of me.
some guys--i would say most--just don't have the same sense of loyalty and commitment (except to other men) that the majority of women have when it comes to being in a realtionship. it sucks, but i haven't really seen anything to the contrary, besides ONE ex from my mid thirties who started out 100% devoted and attentive...and then eventually called me a whore when we were having issues. dumped immediately.
