Sorry it took me so long, I know I drove some of you mad with my repetitive posting. But I blocked and deleted my ex on everything. It took way longer than it should have. I feel a tad guilty because I think somewhere in his covert narc heart he might have loved me but my gut knows I did the right thing.
This has been a huge lesson in trusting your instincts. If you are not happy, you are not happy! No amount of communication will make a man suddenly care about meeting your needs.
I'm sure I will have a lot of periods of loneliness but looking forward to seeing what 2023 brings 😊

I'm sure many of us on FDS have been in your position before, where you stick with a scrote for way too long-- I know I have done that several times in past relationships. I'm glad you blocked and deleted. Time to focus on you! Since breaking up with my last boyfriend two years ago, I have moved to a new state, learned many new professional skills, met new friends, and started grad school. I have the time and energy to do these things and pursue my dreams because I'm not spending 100% of my time worrying about some shitty guy! Wishing you all the best!
