Avoid Broke Men

I agree 100%. There is no benefit whatsoever to dating/marrying a guy who can't provide. Being single is preferable to being with a man like that because at least when you're single, you can work towards your goals without a LVM holding you back.

Also, the first type of man has the ability to provide, yet he doesn't want do better for himself or for a potential partner. That in and of itself is not at all attractive to me.

My dad had lost his job when I was in early into junior high. While he made way more money than my mom, my mom still insisted on working because she didn't want to rely on my dad's income. He collected unemployment, yet he took jobs below his skill level until he found something that provided stable pay, then he ended his unemployment compensation. The point is, is that real men won't sit on their asses and stay unemployed, nor will they let their spouse shoulder the burden.

In this day and age, women are supposed to be supportive of men who choose not to embark on finding another job after losing one. The difference between a man who is actively trying to find a job and one who is just sitting there waiting for a job to come out of the sky is so telling about their motivation (or lack thereof).

That is why I won't date guys who choose to stay unemployed. You can't put gas in your car because you would rather play video games? You would rather catch up on sleep than put applications out there? See ya!
