Fellow queens! Let's not forget what FDS is truly about, at it's core: LEVELING UP.
The point of FDS is NOT to find a man. The point is decentering men and living your best life. Please remember that and keep it chrystal clear.
I really liked Manifestelle's new video. It's mainly about the ugly reality about trad wives but it's also an incredibly important reminder and a reality check: a man is not a plan.
Either he's fixing your problems or HE IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM
If you're going to tradwife it, date WAY up, keep a vehicle ("so I can take the kids places so you don't have to"), but it needs to be in your name.
Find a way to make money somehow, even selling homemade food.
But ultimately, men who want a virgin tradwife will be cultivating endless hoops for you to jump through that infantilize you, while also expecting you do take on adult roles in mothering.
And HIS ultimate goal will be to brag that he found a woman who isn't a "w***e" like "all modern women" ,-> adult, female animals who have sex like ALL adult female animals can if we WANT TO.
Tradwifing is usually not worth it.
Most males are liabilities that leech off women anyway.
I knew a girl who marries a wealthy business owner with a farm. Thought she'd be sorted but is essentially a workhorse for him and ended up breaking her back falling off one of the huge machines.
This video was awesome. I’m so glad that young women are cautioning others about how dangerous being a trad wife can be. As much as I sigh about Mr Darcy, marriage has always been a risk to women.
Education and career should be FIRST and foremost. It’s your insurance policy against future trouble.
As a single mom for 18 years now, I am grateful I had my college degree, was hired by a family friend as an investment banker, hustled to get my MBA, and was able to support my kiddos without their loser dad.
It was hard, but it feels SO GOOD to know that everything I’ve accomplished has been done without a man.
Btw I don’t advocate giving up your life for the corporate grind - that world sucks. I did it for 12 years to support my kids, and now I have my own business and am so much happier.
Maybe spend some time in corporate to pay bills, buy your first house, learn about business - then you’ll be able to decide what to do next, whether it’s start a business or move overseas, whatever you want to do.
Decenter men = be happy and free
