Y'all, I'm scared. I don't want to argue politics, but with Biden just bailing out and endorsing Kamala Harris as the democratic nominee, I just see hate toward women becoming a lot more discernable. Project 2025 is going to take away more of our rights if Trump wins.
I don't see a scenario where Trump doesn't win.
What can we do? How can we prepare and protect ourselves?
Yes the US is ready! The time is NOW to finally break this glass ceiling and let all the toxic men out themselves so they don't find wives and make more children to perpetuate their abuse and hate.
Getting women in POWER is the only way anything gets better for women. So VOTE!
I'm so so fucking careful about giving myself any real hope about the US political situation but I think there are things to be hopeful about. Record fundraising is happening right now and at least the democratic establishment is appearing to unite behind Kamala to avoid splitting the vote. In theory the people who weren't going to vote because of Biden being the nominee will now vote. Women across the board can throw their support behind Kamala on Roe v Wade alone. These are just my preliminary thoughts but regardless it can't be much worse than Biden going forward as the nominee so I'm trying to console myself with that? I'm Canadian so I can't vote but US politics bleed up here so...
I know some republican women who will vote for Kamala. I think she has energy, and there is now voter excitement in the US. She will eat Trump’s lunch in debate, and that will generate even MORE excitement.
I think she’ll win.
The US is a shameful country. It’s embarrassing to be American and I feel sorry for Americans. What the US is committing world wide shows how disgusting your politicians are and how human life means nothing. You think they give a shit about women’s rights as they are butchering women and children else where?
