It’s weird that they often claim to like men’s hobbies and and all politics that put them at a disadvantage.

Embracing a hobby for approval is classic pick-me behavior.
The hobby could be anything: video or card games, vinyl records, mixology, guns, woodworking, sports, knitting. The pick-me mirroring is the same regardless of politics (or the hobby).
As for liking right-wing politics, the perception is that conservative politics are not disadvantageous to women.
One example: the idea that conservatives want sex-slavery because they oppose abortion is considered an absurd non-sequitor. “Because I can’t support killing an innocent, that means I somehow want slavery??? 🤨” That’s the perspective.
