Funny how they claim sex work is so empowering when they can't even call it by its real name PROSTITUTION. Why is the real word so shameful to use?
Because they know that word carries a lot of emotional weight. I apologize in advance for bringing reddit garbage here but it sparked some fds discussions in my mind that I've seen in the past
This dude was bragging that he's the main one managing the messages on his wife's only fans account and that she brings in a lot of money for them both
I and only one other person called this guy out for essentially pimping his wife. And ofc, mouth foaming pickmes came out the wood works to defend this guy
They told me I'm not the advocate for women that I think I am. But they are? When they know just how awful "sex workers" are treated and viewed in this patriarchal society?
I'm tired of them using "my body my choice" sure that's the case but men will always benefit more from PROSTITUTION (let's call it what it is) than women ever will
Men make the most money from porn. Men aren't the main ones being abused or trafficked with their images posted online. Men arent the targets for revenge porn. Men aren't the ones having fucking family members, friends, and people from work finding their only fans and trying to gain access to it or being creepy about it (literally saw a girl say her own cousin was trying to buy her only fans. Fucking creepy)
I really don't see how those women didn't think this was text book exploitation. While his wife's face is the forefront of that only fans. He gets to sit back and make all that money while she potentially faces backlash from society over it.
Possibly costing her job opportunities and effecting how their family is viewed. I've heard of children getting bullied because of their mother's doing only fans. Yet I'm the problem for not being "sex positive"
We don't live in a sex positive world. This is a patriarchy, anything related to sex and money on an industry will almost always benefit men more than women
Unless you're in the top 1% of only fans creators like amaranth or bad bhabie (which is really problematic on its own. Men waited until the very minute she was 18 to see her naked. Disgusting pedophiles)
But sure, let's pretend "sex work" isn't detrimental to women even if they are making a lot of money for it
When it comes to sex work, I support the troops not the cause. 99% of the women in that industry are victims and have usually gone thru much worse by the time they end up there, so I don't look down on them for it and just hope they'll find a way out sooner rather than later.
I have also heard an interesting theory that all women are sex workers. I think the video was redacted 'cause I can't find it now, but the speaker made some points about how men thinking they may have a chance of sleeping with a woman is the real appeal of ANYTHING whenever women are presented. Something like that.
I suppose one example is co-ed colleges. Until maybe the 60s or so, most colleges were men-only with a few women-only and even less co-ed. Nowadays men-only colleges have DRASTICALLY waned in popularity to the point where they may not exist anymore. I remember one of my fellow student-coworkers at my job when I was in undergrad said he would NEVER go to a men's-only college. I assume most men share this preference and I think we all know why.
So as you see, female co-eds are the default selling point for men to go to college. The very IDEA that women will be attending the same college as said man is enough for men to consider enrolling in their school of choice. We are basically free advertising for co-ed universities.
Women getting free admission and drinks at clubs and bars will draw in more women which means it will draw in more men WHO WILL SPEND MONEY at these clubs and bars hoping to go home with a woman.
Just some food for thought.
