Take a deeper look at people who appear to have ideal relationships

I've known a married couple in a professional setting for over a year now. I thought they seemed like a solid unit and both very high value. However... I recently learned that they're only married because the woman gave the man an ultimatum. When he wouldn't commit, she set the wedding date herself and started planning, and then sent him an e-invite!

She was so proud of herself while telling this story. The other women listening told her how awesome she was, how they had so much more respect for her now, and how it was this big bold powerful move. I was just shocked speechless.

I cannot imagine living with a man who wasn't crazy about marrying me, and yet pickmes think it's some kind of flex..? Very strange. And it goes to show, it's hard to be certain about people who put on a high value front.
