I know a woman in her 50's who proudly recounted to me about how she's been with her husband since she was 17, and he was in his 30's... I was having dinner with them at the time and couldn't conceal my disgust. I knew he was older than her, but not THAT much older.
I couldn't help myself at that dinner and asked why she'd want an old man when she was 17. He smirked at me. She was offended. She said she wanted a "mature" man
But that proud revelation was a couple years ago. Now her husband is suddenly in the hospital with many serious ailments, most likely dying. She is constantly crying on socials about her nightmare, staying beside his bed through his agony, saying things like, "I can't believe this is happening."
Oh you can't...? What did you expect, staying with a pedo nearly 20 years older than yourself? I know that things can happen at any age, but lass, you pretty much guaranteed for this moment at age 17. Enjoy your mature man.
It is so sad that she was preyed upon as a child. Youd think though that at least around age 30 (after her brain was fully developed) she would have wised up and left him.
