Self-respect is invaluable and definitely not worth compromising to coddle some guy. While he laughs behind your back with his friends about how much he gets out of you.
Nobody respects women like this. All those likes they get for posting things like this, will never make up for the fact that they will ruin their own lives for the benefit of men who use them to see how much mileage they can get.
My boyfriend's cousin has been with his girlfriend for 20 years. Won't propose, oh, but they own a house and that counts for something! Did I mention that she wants kids and both of them are on the verge of 40? 😂
She deserves better, yet she is stuck paying the bills while his ass is planted to the couch in "depression". The same guy who hid it from her that he lost his job until he couldn't any longer. I don't fault people who are mourning because they lost a parent, however, he has been doing this for more than a year now. And she still sits there complaining and won't break up with him because "we have been together for too long!". So the solution is to just let him continue to do what he wants and keep him pampered while you struggle?
I am sorry to say that she has resigned herself to this. Every second that goes by is more of her time wasted. Why, why, why do women do this to themselves??
Pick me-ness is truly the culmination of deep seated and deeply entrenched systemic mysoginy.
It's immense. I'm so grateful to be able to see through the foggy lenses now - though it's a daily discipline to keep them clear with so much toxic messaging out there in the world.
The most freeing thing is realising i get to be kind and loving, AND I get to give it to those who are worthy of it (and who I 'pick'), AND I get to value myself.

Dear lord
What the actual fuck.
Ugh. I had completely forgot about that toxic annoying meme aggregator website
